Matt Adams, of CathARTx, gave a presentation on that non-profit organization at Archway Gallery.
In an effort to engage teens with troubled backgrounds, art will be used in a community-based instruction program. Art forms, initially photography, are used to encourage and allow students to explore various subject matter with emphasis on emotional expression. The basics of the art form are taught and exercises to reinforce various technical elements are conducted. End results are used as marketing and fundraising tools. CathARTx is a mobile program, traveling to where there is need.
