The Foelber Gallery is dedicated to the exhibition and sale of fine, handcrafted
pottery and sculpture by local artists. Foelber Pottery started in 1979 with a group of craftsmen making unique, intricately carved and pierced lanterns. Each piece was created by a team of potters. One potter would throw the form on a potter’s wheel. The next person would carve the design. Another would apply the glaze colors. Then the next potter would load and fire the kiln. The work sold at arts and crafts festivals in the southwest, from Texas to Florida.

In the 1980’s, the studio gradually evolved and the potters turned the bottom floor of the 1930’s house into a gallery. They outgrew the house and built another building to make room for the growing pottery classes and studio/storage space for large “works-in progress”. They offer classes for adults and children and recently have added one-day Party Events for groups. The gallery is still housed in the charming 1930’s house where they host approximately five shows per year showing handcrafted, fine works in clay.
