Each quarter, Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) hosts professionally-juried art shows as part of the effort to create more opportunities for established and emerging artists alike to connect with the viewing public.
On Saturday, November 19, VAA will hold an artist talk from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Spring Street Studios, 2nd floor. Exhibiting artists in the VAA 34th Juried Membership Exhibition will have the opportunity to give a short presentation on their work and answer questions from the audience. The artist are Jo Zider, Daniel Brents, Leslie Magadaleno, Suzanne Shield-Polk, Carol Simon, Nataliya Scheib, Chell Vassallo, Karen Eisele, Kelly Best Bourgeois, Kemberly Warren, Martin Holmes, Nell Gottlieb, Ron Masters, Zoanna DaLuz Maney and Barbara Shaw.
The exhibition will be on display through Saturday, December 3, at Spring Street Studios (2nd Floor), 1824 Spring Street. Zoya Tommy, owner of Zoya Tommy Gallery, juried the exhibition. Zoya studied painting at Rhode Island School of Design and came to Houston to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston in 2003. Originally from Trinidad she has travelled to Europe, Middle-East and been inspired by beauty and art all her life. She is a painter and has expanded her career to the business of art.
