I have been painting and drawing for many years, exhibiting my work in many juried shows in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Houston, winning several awards in those shows. My training includes many art courses at The Glassell School, the Art League of Houston, and various workshops. I also work as an art educator for Congregation Emanu El and City Art Works.
When I paint I find a calmness and focus. I want to convey the sense of wonder at the beauty of the world around me. My work uses a variety of media depending on what the subject suggests. By experimenting with watercolor, acrylic, monotype, or pastel, I express my emotions about the subject. I hope the viewer will share in my sense of wonder at the world and the spirituality of creation.
