The opportunity VAA provides to participate in 4 juried exhibits a year, with personal responsibility for sales, was the tipping point in my decision to turn pro and start a business as an artist. I also very much appreciate the monthly critique sessions as a way to learn about aesthetic choices and how to articulate them.
