Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are small, unique works or short series that measure 2.5" x 3.5", the same size as a standard baseball card.
These cards are created (and usually signed and dated) by artists who then gather to trade and collect with other artists. ATCs can be any stable medium, from simple pencil or ink on paper to elaborate paper or textile collages, miniature paintings, or limited-edition prints. Part of the experience of ATCs is the trade with other artists; the cards are never sold.
ATCs are inspired by long histories of miniature art all over the world, and they have spawned other collaborative projects in small sizes.
Bring your own paper and specific materials, or create a collage with materials provided in the workshop. You may want your own pair of scissors (or other cutting tool) and glue stick.
Make sure you’re a member and come to our free workshop on artist trading cards.
ATCs are “a thing” all over the world and this is your chance to participate!
