Artist Leslie M. Guzmán was born in picturesque Guatemala, she lives and works in Houston, TX. Self-taught & lover of photography, she has been photographing the world since a young age, never without camera in hand. Her love for art began with photography, which later transferred into other disciplines of art but never forgetting about her first love. Guzmán’s artwork often times evolves from a single or combined photograph infused with eclectic mixtures of paint, ink, charcoal and collages. The completed artwork is a flashback of a dream or an abstraction of memories merged together by her passions. She invites the audience to envision their own interpretations in her artwork as if it was their own memory.
