I am an artist who explores the ceramic medium in order to make vessels and wall pieces. A Houston native, I currently make work out of my studio in East Downtown. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a Ceramics Concentration in 2017 from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. My work is primarily wheel thrown and often made in batches, which I layer with bright underglazes, colored slip, and vibrant glazes. I take inspiration from the Franciscan “Starburst” pattern and designs from the Atomic Age. The idea of combining science and art is one that I wish to further explore. I have been featured in multiple publications and my art has been accepted into juried shows throughout Texas. In the spring of 2023, I plan to submit my work to more juried shows and expand my body of work in order to apply to residencies.
