Ruffin, Janet

Janet is an artist, poet and retired arts educator. Her works include mixed media paintings and constructions, drawings and she recently used some of her art work to create lovely scarves. The process is intuitive and each part determines where and how they come together. She worked at the Children’s Cancer Hospital, University of Texas, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center for over ten years as an art teacher and was part of the team that created “Street SmART”, a creative arts project for Harris County Juvenile Probation in Houston. Her work has been in numerous exhibitions around the country and her work can be seen on her website.
