On Sunday, January 11th, 51 artists dropped off their precious creations to Avis Frank Gallery. It was a cold rainy day, but 140 works of art were delivered by the Visual Arts Alliance artists. Gallery owner, David Hardaker was the juror. He chose 47 works to exhibit. Two artists had three pieces chosen and eight artists had two. Thursday, January 15th was opening night. The weather was great and the show was fabulous (and packed). Avis Frank Gallery is at 1616 White Oak Drive. David, who said it was a very difficult decision, chose the following winners:
- First Place, Laurie Mills, Fig. 12.1
- Second Place, Mary Case, 20/20 Portrait
- Third Place, Lorena Morales, Solar Eclipse
- Honorable Mention went to Luisa Duarte for Lost Pieces and Daniel Brents for Intersection.
All who participated are winners and we appreciate David Hardaker, and Avis Frank Gallery. The exhibition will be on display until February 14th.
