As a soul existing for over 40 years in this (current?) lifetime, I find great satisfaction in expressing myself through the visual arts. My work is lens-based and is inspired by the millennia of human existence that precedes me. I challenge myself to create imagery that reflects my time and place in the universe in a way that is invocative and interesting. Although subject matter varies, the part of my spirit that guides it is the same. This is a large, challenging task that I take very seriously. For, if I am to present to you something, it must be worth your time to engage it. Such soul-reaching efforts are their own reward and if it opens a dialog between us, it has served its purpose.
I am currently serving my eighth term as VAA president.
